As of making this costume I’m currently very obsessed with Uma Musume. After watching the movie, Tachyon became one of my favorite Uma’s. Her offputting personality really hit right for me. While working on her main racing gear, I wanted to have her winter uniform that I could wear and still cosplay her. The uniform has a dual purpose, because it means I can cosplay whatever Uma I want to, as long as I have the wig.
I make the summer uniforms to sell, so this pattern is basically the same as that one. I might eventually make the summer uniform for myself. The darker purple fabric ended up being custom dyed so I could differentiate it from the main purple fabric.
The ears are attached to a headband that sits on my head, and the tail is done with a magnetic harness system. The tail is attached to some magnets and attaches to a base that’s hidden under the skirt.
